Hear intimate memories about Ted Hughes, one of the greatest English poets of the 20th century, who is probably best known for his marriage to the poet Sylvia Plath.
Elaine Feinstein has written the first biography about him since his death. She will talk about how she drew on her friendship with him and his sister Olwen and their contemporaries who influenced him Seamus Heaney, Thom Gunn and Miroslay Holub.
She has had access to the main archives of Hughes' manuscripts at Emory University, Atlanta, as well as those at the University of Liverpool.
