Postman Pat made it a red letter day for Mayday Hospital's special care baby unit by raising £300 for the hospital's infant department.
The cash total was revealed this week, one month after the event.
Family members and friends of babies being treated at the unit took part in the fete which had a bric-a-brac stall, a bouncy castle and a raffle draw offering prizes including a CD player.
Staff at Buffer Bear nursery, which caters for doctors and nurses working on-site, organised the event and were delighted with its success.
