A conference dedicated to improving the quality of life for Croydon's residents will be held on Saturday, October 20, in order to kick-start community involvement in community solutions.

The Local Agenda 21 (LA 21) conference, is the local manifestation of Agenda 21, a comprehensive plan of action taken by members of the United Nations for the good of the environment.

The event is to be held in the Braithwaite Hall, Croydon Clocktower from 10am to 3pm, and will be opened by council leader, Hugh Malyan, with Trevor Philips, deputy chair of the Greater London Assembly giving the keynote speech.
