Kinder London Towers opened their Euroleague campaign with a 107-64 defeat to Turkish Champions, Ulker Istanbul.

Ulker didn't give the Towers a minute's breathing room.

The hosts jumped ahead 28-15 after one quarter, 54-30 at the half and hit a 40-point lead, 74-33 in the middle of the third quarter.

Impressive centre Asim Pars finished with 28 points to lead all scorers. He also pulled seven rebounds for Ulker.

For Towers, Jeff Kent top scored with 15 points. John White added 14 and Stuart Robbins netted 13.

"To play against such loud fans, always chanting like they were tonight, I think it intimidated my players some," commented Towers Head Coach, Lino Frattin.

"We let them play their game right away. We know that Ulker is a good team, at the top in Turkey, and that it would be hard to beat them at home.

"We have to forget about this game and think about the future of what we can do in this league. I hope we will see improvement from now on."
