Warlingham narrowly lost this friendly against their oldest rivals Dorking from the Mole Valley in an exciting encounter that could have gone either way.
Played in practically perfect conditions, Warlingham took the game to the opposition from the kick off and for the first time this season, had the opposing pack retreating in the set pieces.
It was the Warlingham pack who opened the scoring within 10 minutes with Graham Field charging over from a driving maul.
Dorking then got into their stride, securing more possession. The lead then swapped hands four time throughout the second half with further Warlingham tries coming from debut winger Sean Russell and from No.8 forward Brett Gold. Farmer converted one try and also added a further penalty goal.
This Saturday, October 10, league action returns to Hamsey Green when Warlingham face Cranleigh in London Division 4 SW.
