FULLERIANS six-match unbeaten run came to an abrupt end on Saturday, October 20, when they were comprehensively beaten 37-5 by St Albans.

St Albans scored almost immediately from the kick off when the referee spot a blatant knock on to leave Fullers trailing 7-0 after only two minutes.

Things went from bad to worse for Kevin Brind's side when tight-head prop Mark Cooper was sin-binned in the first half and then dismissed early in the second half for a second yellow card.

A well-worked move in the backs saw Kevin Sorkin score Fullers only try.

"We had half the regular first team out for this game due to a wedding, injuries, and illness, but we were beaten by a well-organised St Albans team," commented Brind. "Our defence in recent weeks has been good but on Saturday it was poor."
