CHILDREN at a Swanley primary school celebrated a traditional harvest festival with a modern twist.
Families and friends donated food, which will be distributed by the charity Age Concern, and a service was held by Reverend Richard Wells of Christ Church.
The children also used modern foods as educational tools.
Headteacher Sue Stringman said: "We looked at how many miles you have to travel to get the ingredients for a pizza and how you can measure water.
"We put together an alphabet of harvest foods. One class also did a presentation on the harvest of talents.
"The children learnt so much and the parents were very supportive."
