I should like to express, on behalf of The Salvation Army in Wimbledon, our very grateful thanks to local residents for their generous response once again to our annual appeal for funds.
Worldwide, humanitarian needs continue to increase. It may interest your readers to know that 750 staff and volunteers served food from eight mobile canteens in the disaster area surrounding the World Trade Center, New York.
