AN ENFIELD rock and roll promoter and his club have been chosen to appear in a major television programme on 1950s British youth culture.
Ritchie Gee and his Tennessee club, at Trent Park Golf Club, have been picked to star in the eight- part series commissioned by LWT.
The programme, filmed by Blenheim Films, will be a definitive documentary on Teddy boys and their relationship with fashion, music and society.
The crew will be at the club's eighth birthday bash on Friday night as Ritchie celebrates with Bill Haley's original 1955 Comets.
Ritchie, who has arranged the bands only London appearance, will be interviewed by the crew and is delighted that his club has been chosen.
He said: "This will be incredible. It will be the first time the comets have been filmed since the 1950's and everyone at the club is very excited.
