A CHARTER mark for excellence in public service has been awarded to Bromley's leading housing association.
The Broomleigh Environmental Services Team (BEST) of more than 70 staff received the award for providing a good quality service to residents.
The Charter Mark assessor highlighted several key areas, including BEST's abandoned car programme, which has led to the removal of 300 cars in its first year of operation.
BEST was also praised for its three-month pilot programme in which it took complete responsibility for all areas of one of Broomleigh's largest estates, such as caretaking, car park sweeping, grounds maintenance and graffiti.
