I am writing with reference to the letter from Nasser Khan, chairman of Bait-Ul-Futuh mosque.

I am Asian and where I acknowledge that most Muslims worldwide are shocked by such attacks in the USA, there are also many who rejoiced at the same time.

Comments from the young British Muslims at this stage I wonder why they care calling themselves British who claim they would fight for Islam, only fuels more racial tension in Britain.

These so-called British Muslims need to ask themselves why they have chosen to live in the UK or anywhere in the West. They obviously like the freedom, prosperity, development and the security the West offers and seem to have taken it for granted.

The youngsters born in the UK wouldnt be able to survive in a poor, starving and war-stricken Islamic state, let alone fight for it.

These youngsters havent understood the basis of any religion, let alone their own faith. They need to be taught fundamental rules of humanity from their parents, not Islamic teachers.

Teaching of respect of all human life, irrespective of their beliefs, starts at home.

Unfortunately, its not the religion that is in the wrong, but the followers who abuse it to their own ends. I have yet to come across any belief or religion which condones terrorism or states one religion is more superior than another.

The attacks in the USA has made Islam a mockery and the ignorant comments from the young Muslims reinforce it.

Many so called refuges fleeing into Pakistan, when questioned about Osama bin Laden, still boldly stated they fully supported him and the Taliban. Why were they then fleeing and not standing by their leader and fighting for what they really believe in?

Perhaps they wanted to live and realised their lives are important to them just like the thousands of innocent people who lost theirs in the USA and didnt have a chance to escape.
