I dont know if our local councillors have noticed, but in this part of Sutton it is autumn and the leaves are beginning to fall from the trees.
It will, therefore, be extremely useful to have the fortnightly collection of garden waste so we can bag the leaves up and have them taken away. The same also goes for the last of the summer bedding plants.
The council should extend the collection service until mid-November as it has done in previous years.
Why could it not have used a bit of common sense and ensured the service ran to the end of the gardening season instead of being stopped when it would be most needed?
