The Sutton station revamp is far from over: the lifts are not operational yet; and the ticket hall area is not finished yet.
Did G W Stow take any notice of the information issued by Sutton Council and Connex, as it was then, about the renovation work comprising three phases, phase one being complete,
Taxi spaces have been cut down and, yes, there is no pick up and put down point at the moment.
These are both planned to be around the corner at the side of the station.
But why should there be a pick up and put down point right outside the station?
The next turning is not too far away to walk back.
But instead of this motorists use the bus stops to pick up and drop off people causing traffic jams and accidents.
No doubt G W Stow is one of these drivers.
As for the crossing, it was desperatley needed outside the station.
It clears people who get off the buses from Belmont quickly and I am sure there have been less pedestrians knocked down since it has been installed.
The station is due for completion late summer or early autumn next year.
