POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man died when his car was hit by an overtaking car in Hadley Wood.
Edward Hanison, 61, of Newmans Way, Hadley Wood, was driving his K-reg Seat Marbella Special when he was hit by a Silver Ford Galaxy carrying six passengers.
The incident happened at 11.10pm on Saturday October 13 as Mr Hanison slowed down on speed bumps on Camlet Way.
His car was hit from behind by the overtaking Ford Galaxy sending the Seat on to the left hand side of the road where it crashed into a lamp post and hit a wall.
Mr Hanison died from his injuries the following day. The six passengers of the Galaxy were taken to hospital after their car overturned and slid on to its roof.
