Hampton & Richmond Borough have allowed two more players to leave as boss Steve Cordery shuffles his pack.

Nick Burton has signed for Gravesend & Northfleet while former Fulham youngster Anthony Howard has joined Slough.

But Cordery insists the central defenders departures from the Beveree werent down to the clubs precarious financial situation.

Both left for footballing reasons, he said. Nick and Antony wanted to get away in the best interests of their careers.

We still need to move things around at the club and have players lined up to come in. But we need to lose a few more players before we can sign new ones.

Hampton drew 1-1 with struggling Bedford last Saturday, but Cordery was able to take some positives out of the match.

I wasnt happy with the result as you always want to win games but I was happy with the performance. he said.

I thought we played ever so well and deserved to win. We created a number of chances and with the team we managed to field did well.

The back four put together at short notice played very well.
