Kingston and Surbiton MP Edward Davey visited Guildhall, Kingston, for the launch of the Encourage People To Vote competition last week.

Young people aged 11 and 25 are being invited to design a poster that will encourage young people to exercise their right to vote at elections.

Mr Davey said: I am pleased to support any such initiative.

The competition rules are:

* Two age categories: 11 to 16 and 17 to 25. One entry per person.

* Posters should be A3 sized, portrait shaped.

* Entries must include name and address and telephone number and be submitted by 5pm on November 30, to: Electoral Services, Guildhall, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU.
