After reading the article in your paper of September 27, I felt I had to respond.

As a former employee of Ladies Own I am outraged with the way we have been treated. We have had no feedback from our former employer informing us we were redundant, or even thanking us for the service we provided.

We are all owed wages backdated to August and we are getting no response from either the old or new management, or the receivers. All parties are stating it is the responsibility of the other. Where does this leave us?

Why couldn't the new management take on the original staff in their respective clubs? After all, whatever happened was not the fault of the employees.

All we want is to work and receive the monies we are owed. Is that too much to ask? Apparently members have received an extra month's membership while former staff have received nothing not even an apology.

Someone must be responsible for the wages owed, redundancy money, lieu of notice and holiday pay.

So come on, sort things out and then act accordingly. There are a lot of angry and upset people out there who still have mortgages and bills to pay.

And to whoever is responsible for this mess, I'm sure you would feel the same as us if the boot was on the other foot.
