Sutton Nature Conservation Volunteers group is looking for more volunteers to help conserve local wildlife.

The group, which was formed in 1987 with support from Sutton Council, has grown to become the main conservation charity organisation working in Sutton.

The group travels all over the borough doing all kind of jobs such as trimming bushes and pruning trees. The main project for November will be coppice work along the woodland trail in Oaks Park.

The volunteers hold a number of visits and social events throughout the year. On November 6 they will take a guided walk around the Sutton countryside.

Anybody who thinks they would like to get involved but does not have transport can be picked up from the Ecology Centre, in Honeywood Walk, Carshalton. Call John Clarkson or Matt Borrie on 020 8770 5821.
