Cash-strapped Kingstonian has finally called in the administrators after weeks of turmoil at the crisis-rocked football club.
Recovery specialists Begbies Traynor have been appointed administrators charged with the task of reversing the financial fortunes at Kingsmeadow.
The club will be run as a going concern with all teams still playing while the administrators seek a someone to finance it. Talks are already at an advanced stage with two potential backers.
Kingstonian has plunged into the red following last seasons relegation from the Nationwide Conference, hampered by a crippling wage bill, fall in crowds and a loss in advertising and sponsorship.
Nine players were sacked earlier this month, before the clubs directors turned to administrators for help.
Nick Hood of Begbies Traynor said: I am very hopeful that we can find a new backer to secure the clubs future.
