This independent dance compilation claims to be "A true reflection of the club", and they have covered a wide range of styles on 3 CDs.
The first CD "Beyond the Discotech Generator" is not overloaded with bass sounds, but a mix of rhythms and beats often with an interesting but hardly ground-breaking edge. One example is the amusingly named Pob and the Art of Trance with their interesting flavour of gloopy beats and eastern style vocals.
The second CD "The Fast and the Furious" is full of typical house standards, with the tweaky electronic noises and pounding beats and of course the now traditional overbearing bass sounds.
The final CD is however a head turner "Lets Get Digital and Fall in Love" is a chill out album.
Background music for the mind, inspiring sensation and thought as the body and brain wind down, featuring Orion's lovely "See Me Here" and the haunting vocals of Maire Brennan (Clannad) on Chicane's "Saltwater".
On the whole this compilation has something for everyone interested in Dance music.
Perhaps an interesting introduction to the club scene, but it is frequently dull and repetitive and hardly inspires confidence in the originality and creativity of club, dance, and techno etc music.
