Tooting & Mitcham manager Ian Hazel has labelled tomorrow's FA Trophy clash with Dr Martens League Salisbury City at Sandy Lane as an exciting tie for the club', writes Russell Young.

Hazel and his players take on the Wiltshire side, who are the equivalent of two leagues ahead of Tooting in the non-league pyramid.

Despite the apparent gulf in standard, Hazel says his players are more than capable of acquitting themselves.

He said: "This tie is a very exciting one for the club. They are a better side than us and their position shows that.

"We will enjoy the day and I will certainly be kicking every ball on the touch line and hoping we can win the game."

Apart from preparing for his sides big day' Hazel has the problem of signing a striker, once Matt Gray's loan spell from Sutton United expires.

Gray is due to return to Gander Green Lane in two weeks time, leaving Hazel with a void to fill.

"We would like to sign him. When we approached Sutton about this they slammed the door in our faces and told us he wasn't for sale.

"I'm confident he can play at a higher level.

He's only young and can develop into a really good player,'' said Hazel.
