FIRE WARNING: Firefighters are advising the Hindu and Sikh communities to be careful while celebrating the festival of Diwali on November 14. They are warning that candles used in the festival, sometimes called the Festival of Light, should be placed well away from curtains, furniture and flammable materials.
USE LIBRARY: Bexley Local Studies and Archive Centre wants to encourage members of the public to use its library and archive facilities. The centre, in Townley Road, Bexleyheath, has material on the London Borough of Bexley, past, present and future.
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: All Saints Churchs is holding a Christmas Bazaar in Belvedere. The event includes a raffle and stalls. It is at the church hall, Nuxley Road, from 10am to 1pm on Saturday.
