Cheam Cheetahs men's hockey team lacked the killer instinct in front of goal against Merton 3s on Saturday and, despite having the better of the game, lost to a scrappy goal conceded midway through the second half.
Cheam women's first team, however, had no problem finding the goal and won 4-0 against Camberley to maintain their unbeaten league run.
Two goals in each half from Jo Green (two), Julie Wrathall and Louise Pank ensured the victory, which could have been by a far greater margin.
