BBHC men's veterans played Haslemere on Saturday hoping to erase the memory of the corresponding fixture last season which they lost 5-0.
The BBHC veterans started well and played some tremendnous hockey with good hitting, stopping, passing, tackling and positional play.
This hard work was not wasted as BBHC gained full revenge for last season's defeat by recording a superb 6-1 win.
To add to this, BBHC's goalkeeper, Gordon Walker, also saved a penalty flick from one of Haslemere's few attacks.
Andy Price and Peter Richmond each netted twice with Nick Tuckey and captain Shaun Lanigan scoring the others.
This should put them into a good frame of mind for this Sunday's National Veterans' Cup 1st round match at Maidenhead.
Other BBHC club results: Mens' 1st XI 2 Eastbourne 2; Gore Court 2 Ladies 2nd XI 1.
