CHILDREN at a Gravesend Primary School have been getting to grips with their new computers.
Gravesham mayor Councillor Valerie Ashenden opened the new information technology suite at Westcourt School, Silver Road, recently and the children have been eager to start work.
Computers, scanners and huge colour printers will be used by the pupils for their school work. Headteacher Jean Everest hopes to have an interactive teaching board installed soon.
She said: "It's not just a normal classroom. It's really state-of-the-art and will help to raise the children's standards immensely."
The suite was funded by a Kent County Council education improvement grant.
