The Worcester Park Club will be rever-berating to the sounds of one the world's greatest guitarists this weekend when Santana tribute band Viva Santana make their debut at the venue.

Carlos Santana shot to fame with a memorable appearance at the 1969 Woodstock festi-val and has remained one of the most influential guitarists of his generation.

And like bands such as Weather Report and Miles Davies he would blend Latin, jazz, funk and soul for a unique fusion.

It was his early hits Black Magic Woman and Samba Pa Ti which helped establish Carlos Santana as a household name Black Magic Woman has been aired on radio more than one million times.

Formed last year by South American gui-tarist Marcos Rodriguez, Viva Santana consider themselves a musical family who recreate the rhythms, sounds and joyfulness of Santana's music. All members of the seven-piece band are Latin American.

Viva Santana play two one-hour sets at every gig covering material from San-tana's early works up to the multi-million selling album Supernatural.

Viva Santana play the Worcester Park Club on Sunday, and for more details see the listings.
