Musings on Luton, women named Judith and dogs are just some of the subjects likely to be covered by comic poetry king John Hegley when he arrives at Morden library next month.
Hegley's performance, on February 12, at 7pm, is the first of four entertaining and creative events in the borough's libraries, organised by Merton Council and Openhaus Community Arts.
The shows are open to all ages and include a showcase at Mitcham library on February 13, of young, vibrant and talented poets from a variety of backgrounds, an open mike competition at Donald Hope library, Colliers Wood on February 18 and a musical event at Wimbledon library on February 20.
