FUEL POVERTY: Lewisham West MP Jim Dowd is urging members of the voluntary sector to attend a seminar aimed at tackling fuel poverty. FIRST BIRTHDAY: A government-funded programme to give Brockley youngsters the best start in life will celebrate its first birthday on Friday. Celebrations for Sure Start Honor Oak at the Community Centre, in Turnham Road, will include a visit from Floella Benjamin OBE. Activities will include face painting, steel bands, clowns and African music performances.
