CONCERN further work on the Highlands housing estate could be abandoned due to lack of funds was expressed last week.
The two-year project on the South Oxhey estate off Green Lane is due to be completed in October.
However, residents who stayed put throughout the work could wait longer for their homes to be refurbished if Three Rivers District Council is unable to finance the project.
Councillor Roy Clements, who has supported the regeneration from the outset, said those who had put up with the dust and the noise of the development deserved investment to bring their homes up to scratch.
