I have lived in Shirley for 13 years now, and have been very proud to be a Shirley resident until now.
On the evening of Wednesday, January 15, I was taking my seven-year-old son to football practice, heading up The Glade towards Orchard Way, when suddenly a car collided with us.
I am a 37-year-old woman and there was lots of traffic behind both cars.
The road was blocked for at least 10 minutes but no one came to our assistance.
My son was very upset and we were both very shaky.
When I managed to get out of the car, the traffic started to go past even a 367 bus went by us. All the passers-by just looked and ignored us.
Luckily no one died but we were all injured and shaken.
What do you have to do to get help these days?
Don't trust Neighbourhood Watch because that is all they do: watch and ignore.
