On Tuesday, January 14, my car and a neighbour's car were broken into and the person/persons responsible know who they are.

This message is for you.

My neighbour is elderly and has a pacemaker. He treasures his car and the shock of seeing parts of his car missing because you stole them has caused him to be admitted to hospital after suffering a minor heart attack. How does this make you feel?

While you are thinking about that, I will carry on about my car.

Ever since I started driving, I had never been in a position to be able to afford a car of more than £400. I have always had old bangers, up until last year, when we used all our savings to buy the car that you have wrecked.

To others it may not have been the most appealing car on the road, but I loved that car and it was the most decent car I had ever owned.

Now, thanks to you, I have to get rid of it. In your hurry to break into my car to steal the stereo, you damaged the door so badly that it is now bent and is unsafe.

If I claim through my insurance I will get penalised for it. I don't have the money to get it fixed, so now I will have to get rid of it. Let me ask you, was it worth it?
