WATFORD'S MP Claire Ward opened a new warehouse for Sigma pharmaceutical distributors in Imperial Way, Watford, on Thursday, April 24.
At the opening, Mr Bharat Shah, managing director of Sigma, announced that a donation of £1,000 contributed by Sigma staff, would be given to Claire Ward to give to Watford General Hospital, for equipment needed in the maternity/paediatric wards.
Miss Ward was joined by former president of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, Mr Hemant Patel, who announced that medicines worth more than £100,000 donated by Sigma were being sent to the Princess Margaret Hospital in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Sigma was founded in 1981 and has appeared in the Sunday Times Profit Track 100 league tables for the past three years.
