Three cheers to the Wombles for not renewing their contract to be official mascot for the Dons.
It really is a sad day for a team when even their official mascot turns his back on them. The team are only Wimbledon in name, so why not go the whole way and rename themselves Milton Keynes FC?
The club hasn't shown any loyalty to Wimbledon so why should Wimbledon's best known residents extend the courtesy to them. The Wombles are of Wimbledon Common, not of Wimbledon FC. Get your own mascot.
