THE history of the fire service in Watford and Hertfordshire has gone on display at the county's first fire fighting museum in Watford.
The collection, at Watford Fire Station in Rickamsworth Road, Watford, is maintained by three retired firefighters and is the result of eight years of painstaking research.
The pride of the collection is a horse-drawn Victorian steam pump. For a full report and pictures, see the printed edition of The Watford Observer, issue dated Friday, May 30.
