Detectives are appealing for the public's help after an armed robbery at a Barnet pub last Sunday (May 18).

A man entered The Duke Of York in Barnet Road at 10.30pm and threatened a member of staff with a handgun and a knife.

He then led the staff member into the main area of the pub, where he threatened ten other staff members and four customers. The people were then told to leave their mobiles before they were locked in a store room.

They were later rescued by a relative of one of the victims.

The offender is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s, wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava.

Anyone with any information should contact Detective Constable Ward of Hertfordshire Constabulary on 01707 638235.
