Mitcham and Morden MP Siobhain McDonagh is urging Environment Minister Michael Meacher to introduce a nationwide scheme to prevent fly-tippers from dumping rubbish in alleyways.
She proposed the "alley-gater" initiative in which residents put up gates to deter burglars and fly-tippers in a Westminster Hall debate last week.
