A decorated chariot will be pulled by hand through the streets of Thornton Heath on Sunday, June 1, as part of a Hindu celebration.
The Sivaskanthaginri Temple at 13-15 Thornton Road is opening its doors to the public for a banquet to celebrate the Hindu chariot festival.
Statues of Lord Muruga/Karthik with his two consorts will be manually drawn around Thornton Heath by a number of devotees from 10am.
A vegetarian banquet will then be served at the temple free of charge.
An organiser said: "The God goes round the streets to visit those people who cannot visit the Temple due to ill health or disability."
