If you think you can take on the might of a Surrey Comet all-star team, then why not enter a special It's A Knockout event in aid of Kingston Can, writes Simeon Brody.

Ten-person teams are still needed for the family-fun event based on the 1970s television show.

Water, foam, an inflatable assault course and ludicrous costumes are guaranteed.

There will also be a bar, music and barbecue and a kids' corner.

A well-honed team of reporters from the Guardian's sister paper the Comet are early favourites to win the competition and take home the Kingston Can trophy.

But teams from HSBC in Kingston, Harpers and Edwards and Villiers Road post office have also taken up the challenge.

Organiser Lillian Revill stressed the event was open to teams of mixed ability with the emphasis on fun. She said: "Bring a change of clothes as you'll need them."

Each team member is required to raise £50 and the event takes place at the Metropolitan Police Sports Ground in Ember Lane, East Molesey, on Saturday, June 28, at 1pm.
