A MAN and pregnant woman were injured as they filled their car up with petrol at a garage in Hounslow last week.

The couple were filling up at the BP garage by Moon's Roundabout, Burns Way at 7.20pm on Monday, May 19th, when the suspect seized his moment. When they weren't looking for a second he got into the car and began to try and drive off.

The twenty four year old owner reached through the driver's window and hung on to the car, trying to stop the thief getting away. As he was hanging from the window, the driver continued to make his getaway, but crashed the car with a parked vehicle, knocking the man away from the car and into the road.

The suspect then drove off. The male victim suffered injuries to his legs and back, whilst his twenty three year old girlfriend, who was five months pregnant, was bruised and had a cut to the hip, also having been clipped by the car, as the suspect made his escape.

The man was described as an Asian male, around 26 years old, with short hair and long sideburns. If you have any information regarding this crime please contact Detective Sergeant Khera from Hounslow CID, via the Crimedesk on 020 247 6118.
