PLANS to turn the former Environmental Services building on Glenhurst Road, Brentford, into a budget hotel, have been rejected by the borough's planning officers - after a petition of more than one hundred residents opposing the plans was handed in.
A stormy meeting had been held over the plans last month at Brentford Conservative Club, where the main fears raised were that the area would suffer from an increase in noise and congestion.
There is however, speculation that the owners of the site, Nashcare Ltd, will either appeal the decision or submit a new application - possibly for a care home.
