A DRUNK man who head-butted a window on a police van was bound over to keep the peace at Richmond Court on Thursday.

Jonathan Behnegad of Chandler Close, Hampton, will be bound over in the sum of £200. The 22-year-old was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in Twickenham on May 9th.

At 7.30pm, police were called to Heath Road, Twickenham where Behnegad was found lying on the floor drunk. Police officers eventually got him to his feet only for him to be sick on the floor.

An ambulance arrived, but he was so drunk that he could not answer any of the paramedics' questions. The police then decided to arrest Behnegad for being drunk and disorderly, however, heading into the police van, he managed to head-butt the pane of window at its rear.

George Keppe, his defence counsel, said: "He says - if that's what they say happened, then it must have happened - because he has no recollection."
