Dropped catches and poor bowling cost Sutton victory in last weekend's Castle Lager Surrey Premier Division clash with local rivals Cheam, according to captain Henderson Clarke.
After winning the toss and opting to field, Clarke was unhappy that Cheam were allowed to reach 253-9 on what was a good bowling pitch.
The skipper, who took three wickets, said: "We did not bowl to our full potential and gave away 40-50 runs too many.
"We didn't field too well either and dropped catches at crucial times."
To add to Clarke's frustration, Cheam's opening batsman Chris Salmons carried his bat to make 138.
"He played well, but we missed him three times, so it wasn't a superb innings. But he did his job by batting out the whole 66 overs."
