HARLOW County Court in Westgate Square has been awarded a Charter Mark in recognition of its continuing work to improve customer service.
The court is one of 19 courts across Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire to be presented with the accolade.
Courts Minister Yvette Cooper said: "I'm delighted so many courts have achieved this public service accolade. This shows court service staff throughout the region are thoroughly committed to serving the public by asking what they want and introducing improvements.
"Ultimately if people can see improvements in their local courts then that will boost confidence in the criminal and civil justice system."
During the court's independent assessment, staff had to show they could perform well, actively engage with customers, be accessible, and use resources effectively and imaginatively.
