PARENTS sending their children to secondary school can find out more about the choices available to them at an open day.

Greenwich Council is holding a drop-in session, at the town hall in Wellington Street, Woolwich, between noon and 7pm on June 30.

The event will allow visitors to learn more about secondary schools in the borough.

There will also be information on specialist education services, such as support for gifted students and programmes for those who need additional help.

Member for lifelong learning Councillor Angela Cornforth said: "Every Greenwich school is different and has its own positive aspects to offer children.

"This event will give parents and children alike the chance to find this out for themselves."
