A SERVICE which provides information about resources available to children has received Government recognition.
Bexley Council's Children's Information Service (CIS) has been given the three-year Matrix Accreditation a Government standard.
The CIS has been running for five years and can provide parents with guidance on everything from after-school clubs to family support.
It also provides advice for anyone looking for a career in childcare.
It had to meet 54 conditions to qualify for the award, which all CISs must achieve by next year.
