ANIMAL lovers can now use a new website to find out more about the wildlife on their doorstep.

A new service is offering residents free information on the green spaces closest to them.

Wildweb gives details of 140 sites of importance in London and surrounding boroughs.

It also provides detailed information on what you can expect to see at these places everything from peregrine falcons to stag beetles.

London Widlife Trust chief executive Carlo Laurenzi said: "We hope this will encourage as many people as possible to explore London's wild spaces and discover its wonderful wildlife."
