Rambling members of the guild took the bus to Hayes Common and walked to Keston ponds, where they had lunch before going on to Farnborough and the bus home.
At the guild meeting on October 26, it was announced that a visit to the Horniman Museum on November 17 had been arranged.
The History of Chatham Dockyard was the subject of Mr Dawson's illustrated talk. One of the oldest of several dockyards in the country, it was a working dockyard for over 400 years until its closure, it is now a popular museum, with many varied events taking place during the year. This year it celebrates its 20th anniversary.
the speaker at the next guild meeting on November 23, will be Tracey Bale from the Salvation Army.
