A COLLEGE is celebrating treble success in a borough-wide education awards scheme.

Orpington College students won three out of seven community learning awards, including picking up an award for the overall winner which went to Sharon Brady, 35, of Horsel Road, Orpington.

The top student who went back to the classroom for the first time since she was 14 years old, is now in her second year of a nursing access course and plans to become a midwife.

Sharon Barnett, 36, of Petten Grove, Orpington, won the individual learner category and Carol Richardson, 61, of Ravenscroft Crescent, Mottingham, won the older learner gong in the annual awards at Bromley Civic Centre last Wednesday.
