MEMBERS of a South African dance and drama group shared their experiences of growing up in their changing country during a visit marking Black History month.
The group, Ithemba which means hope performed to two dozen 16 to 18-year-olds at Dartford YMCA, Overy Street, and encouraged them to join in and use a range of different instruments.
The mixed-race group then discussed their experiences and how their views of each other had altered since the end of apartheid.
Youth projects manager Garnet Johnson said: "There was a lot of energy and they learnt a lot more about what is going on further afield."
