A CRACKDOWN on anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and untaxed cars brought cheers from an estate's residents.
The operation on the Glyndon Estate, off Glyndon Road, Plumstead, which will be jointly run by Greenwich police and Greenwich Council, was launched by officials on November 3.
It was launched in response to complaints from residents who cheered when five untaxed vehicles were towed way by the council.
Police also served search warrants on four properties on the estate.
Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in two properties and one resident was reported on summons for theft of gas utilities.
And housing officers are beginning the process towards eviction of two tenants suspected of breaching their tenancy agreement.
Inspector Steve Kelly said: "We know local people support us in this action.
"I speak to people on a regular daily basis whose lives are being made a misery by the anti-social behaviour associated with some addresses in their neighbourhood."
